An investigation is underway following a ‘rave’ in Cavehill Country Park near north Belfast.
The event is understood to have happened in the early hours of Sunday morning (July 19).
Police say they attended a ‘gathering’ with ‘a number of people.’
DUP councillor for Oldpark Dale Pankhurst tweeted: Concerned that an illegal rave was allowed to continue to almost 6am this morning in Cave Hill Country Park.
I’ve spoke with the PSNI who have assured me they’ll be upping patrols and have already launched an investigation/spoke to individuals. Very distressing night for residents.
