Three men have been arrested after a car was stolen in south Belfast on Monday (20 July).
Three men reportedly approached a man in Strandview Street at around 8pm, as he stood beside his car.
Police say one of the men then jumped into the driver’s seat and sped off stopping a short distance away to allow the other two men to get in.
A short time later, at around 8.20pm, the car was discovered on fire after it had crashed at Purdysburn Road in Newtownbreda.
A police patrol arrested three men at the nearby Hydebank Playing Fields.
The men, aged 31,32 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including aggravated vehicle taking and robbery and all remain in custody at this time.
