Police say between £25,000 to £45,000 worth of jewellery was stolen in the Scotch Quarter area of Carrickfergus over the weekend.
The burglary at a jeweller was reported to police just before 8.30am on Monday morning (February 18).
Police are asking people if they see items like this being offered for sale, or indeed if they are offered any other items of jewellery in suspicious circumstances, to call them (ref. 193 18.2.19).
“We will be monitoring some potential means of selling stolen property, and we’re also looking at the forensic opportunities left behind by the suspect, so will be doing all we can to catch those responsible,” said a police spokesperson.
