Lockdown will last for another three weeks, at least

The COVID-19 lockdown restrictions will be in place in Northern Ireland for at least another three weeks.

Six more people have died in hospital after contracting coronavirus.


It brings the total number of confirmed deaths in the province to 140.

First Minister Arlene Foster said that the restrictions would be reviewed every three weeks until they are lifted.

The Public Health Agency said a further 121 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Northern Ireland.

Coronavirus (Covid 19) is a viral disease that can cause respiratory symptoms ranging from very mild to very severe. Symptoms can include a cough, fever and difficulty breathing.

Patients with symptoms who have recently travelled to affected regions should self-isolate at home and contact their GP by telephone. If they are not registered with a GP, they should telephone their hospital Emergency Department. Please do not attend your GP or hospital without telephoning in advance.
