Dunelm has revealed that it’s retooling a curtain factory to make medical gowns for NHS workers.
The company has also confirmed that its chief executive has agreed to take a 90 per cent salary reduction.
The homes and goods retailer said it was working with the NHS to re-purpose its curtain production facility in England, although it was not using curtain materials to crate the gowns.
Meanwhile, Dunelm’s online site is back up and running after a phased restart. Apart from some two-man jobs, which are expected to start next week, deliveries are now ‘fully operational’, the business said.
