Man (25) treated for broken wrist after Glengormley assault

A 25-year-old man was treated in hospital for a suspected broken wrist and cuts to his head after being assaulted during a burglary in Burneys Mews in Glengormley.

The incident happened at around 7:30pm last night (Friday, January 11).


Police say two men and a woman forced their way into the flat and assaulted the man with what was described as a flick stick.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the aggravated burglary.

Detective Sergeant Coulter is asking anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Antrim on 101 quoting reference 1114 11/01/19.

Alternatively information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
