A 54-year-old man has been charged with possessing ammunition in suspicious circumstances and two counts of possession of a Class B controlled drug.
The charges are in relation to a number of searches carried out by detectives from the PSNI Paramilitary Crime Task Force in the Carrickfergus area on Friday (20 September). Two men, aged 28 and 31 who were arrested, have been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
The 54-year old is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday, 21 September).
As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
