A deactivated starter pistol, found in the Orkney Drive area of Ballymena this afternoon during a security alert (Friday 20 September), has been taken away for further examination.
Orkey Drive has now reopened.
Inspector Johnny Graham said: “I would like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding during the course of this policing operation.
“I am appealing to anyone with information to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 1092 of 20/09/19.
“Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
