A man has sustained facial injuries after being assaulted by three people, one of whom was armed with a hatchet, in Bangor this morning
The incident happened at Whitehill Pass this morning (Thursday 2 July) just before 6:30am.
Detective Constable Hughes said three people entered the property armed with a hatchet.
“The victim was struck with the blunt end of the hatchet and has sustained cuts and swelling to his eye and face.
“We are appealing to anyone with information, or who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area – whether the group of three or an unknown vehicle, to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 294 of 02/07/29,” added the Detective Constable.
