A man was assaulted in Rathcoole by two men in balaclavas wielding a hammer and a metal bar.
The assault happened as the man was walking in Camross Park at approximately 8.30pm (Friday) near Glas Na Braden Glen.
One of his assailants had a hammer and one had a metal bar.
The man sustained injuries to his elbow and hand.
Detective Sergeant Lenaghan is asking for witnesses to come forward.
