A man has been left with a broken eye socket after being attacked by a masked gang in north Belfast.
The men forced their way into the house in North Queen Street yesterday evening (Monday) at around 10:45pm.
The intruders, several of whom were reportedly carrying firearms, punched and kicked the occupant and hit him in the face, fracturing his eye socket.
The men then searched the house before they left, but nothing was reported stolen.
Police are appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the North Queen Street area on Monday night to contact detectives in Musgrave on 101.
