Man taken to hospital following Boucher Road stabbing

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in the Boucher Road area of south Belfast.

The incident happened at around 2pm on Thursday (26 December).


Police in south Belfast are investigating.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with offences including grievous bodily harm with intent.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning (Friday, 27 December).

As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The investigation is at an early stage and detectives would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information which could be of assistance to contact them at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 715 26/12/19.
