Moonpig asks people to stop uploading pics of private parts

Personalised greeting card company Moonpig is asking customers to refrain from uploading pictures of their private parts.

The company took to Twitter to point out that their actions are against Moonpig’s terms and conditions.


Please stop uploading pics of your genitals to our cards it is against our ts and cs, the firm stated.

The announcement provoked a hearty debate with many tweeters pointing out that it was a great example of marketing. Others thought the tweet was like a ‘red rag to a bull.’

Moonpig’s tweet was liked and shared thousands of times, prompting a wave of GIFs and hilarious comments.

On its website, the company states that it may reject an order which contravenes its content guidelines.

We do not permit personalised products to include any content or material which contains material which is pornographic, obscene, indecent or offensive.

Customers can create a personalised card for family and friends by uploading a picture onto the website.
