A 57-year-old motorcyclist man has died following a two-vehicle collision in Lisburn yesterday (Saturday 20 June).
The collision occurred on the Ballylesson Road, at the junction of Mill Road, at approximately 2:10pm.
The crash involved a white Hyundai car and silver Kawasaki motorcycle.
Emergency services, including police, attended, but sadly the man who was riding the motorbike was pronounced dead at the scene.
A pillion-passenger was taken to hospital for treatment, while the driver and passenger of the car were also taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police are appealing for information.
Inspector Darren Hardy said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have captured what occurred on their dash cam, to get in touch with us by calling 101, quoting reference number 971 of 20/06/20.”
A stretch of the Hillhall Road was closed for a time yesterday as officers conducted their enquiries, but it has since re-opened.
