An 18-year-old man is due in court tomorrow via videolink charged with theft from a jeweller in Church Street, Ballymena, on Saturday afternoon.
He has been charged with theft and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
The teenager is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court via videolink. As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
A 31-year-old man arrested as part of the investigation has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
