A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Dundrod last night.

Emergency services dealt with the incident at the Quarterland Road in Dundrod shortly before 7.15pm.

The man, who was aged in his 50s, was the rider of a blue Yamaha motorcycle.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling on the Quarterland Road and who saw the Yamaha motorcycle prior to the collision to contact officers in Lisburn.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist has been left with ‘life-changing’ injuries following a serious crash in Draperstown yesterday.

The 28-year-old was injured after his bike hit a tree on the Tobermore Road at around 3.30pm.

A police spokesman says it’s believed that the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved.

Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone who was travelling on the road and who may have seen the Yamaha motorcycle prior to the crash.
