Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary near Antrim has issued an urgent appeal to potential donors for financial assistance towards a neglected pony.
The charity responded to an urgent call yesterday evening (Saturday) to rescue the animal who they have described as ‘a beautiful little lady.’
The pony’s hooves have overgrown and she has been in considerable pain.
Staff at the centre are working to ensure she remains comfortable until she can receive medical attention.
Medication was administered last night to reduce any pain from the overgrown hooves.
