Meanwhile in England, thousands of shoppers have queued for hours outside Primark stores on the first day that non-essential shops opened, after nearly three-months of COVID-19 lockdown.
Primark in Birmingham opened earlier than the usual time of 8am to manage the large queue, with one shopper reportedly getting up at 4.30am to be the first in store.
