Swimmers are being warned that it is too dangerous to swim in the sea along the north coast today (Sunday).
The warning has been issued by Coleraine Coastguard.
The coastguard has released a video showing swimmers attempting to enter the water at Herring Pond in Portstewart.
“With the high winds and heavy swell, we would urge everyone to avoid swimming around the North Coast today. Conditions are simply too dangerous,” said a spokesperson.
