Police are treating the placing of offensive stickers on an Orange Hall in south Belfast as a sectarian hate crime.
Police are appealing for information following the incident which occurred on the Ormeau Road area of south Belfast.
Sergeant Matt Boucher said it was reported to police at around 10am on the morning of the Twelfth celebrations.
The offensive stickers are thought to have been placed on the Orange Hall sometime between 10pm on Sunday and 9am on Monday.
The stickers have subsequently been removed.
“Enquiries are continuing and at this stage, the incident is being treated as a sectarian hate crime.
“We would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or has any information which could assist, is asked to contact police on 101. A report can also be made using the online reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport. Alternatively, information can be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org ,” added the Sergeant.
And Rasharkin Orange Hall was subjected to another attack where graffiti was daubed on the front of the building (pictured).
