There has been one further death in Northern Ireland from COVID-19.
According to the department’s figures, 76 people have tested positive for the coronavirus.
A total of 6,140 people have now tested positive for the virus in Northern Ireland.
There are currently two active care home outbreaks.
The rise in figures comes as face coverings become mandatory in shops.
From today the use of coverings in certain indoor settings, such as shops or shopping centres, has been mandatory. You must also wear a face covering on public transport.
The best available scientific evidence is that, when used correctly, wearing a face covering may reduce the spread of coronavirus droplets in certain circumstances, helping to protect others.
