Co Armagh couple Patrick and Frances Connolly have been revealed as the winners of the £115m New Year’s Day EuroMillions jackpot.
The couple from Moira appeared at a news conference this morning (Friday).
They are the fourth highest UK lottery winners in the history of the game.
Mr Connolly said news of the life-changing win was still sinking in and he said it was hard to believe.
“I’ve got a wonderful wife, a wonderful family and wonderful friends, so this is the icing on the cake.
“Money doesn’t bring you happiness. We already had happiness and were very blessed in life,” he said.
Speaking to the press, Mrs Connolly said she was overwhelmed by the huge win and added that she was still in shock.
“This is a massive sum of money and we want it to have a huge impact on the lives of other people we know and love as well as on our future too,” she added.
