Parents are asked to be aware of where their children are this weekend following reports of an ‘organised fight’ having been planned for Newtownabbey.
Police say a fight between large groups of youths had been planned for the V36 playing fields tonight.
“We are asking parents to keep track of the whereabouts of their children this evening and throughout the weekend. Police have received multiple calls for service relating to Anti Social Behaviour in that area. We do not want to see any young person injured or end up with a criminal record,” warned a police spokesperson.
This has been an ongoing problem in the area for some time.
