A new album featuring versions of songs that the late pop icon Prince gave to other artists is heading for release.
The Prince Estate will release Originals, a 15-track album featuring 14 previously unreleased recordings including Nothing Compares 2 U and Manic Monday.
For many of those artists, these songs became chart-topping successes. Among the hits music fans will recognise from Originals: The Time’s Jungle Love, Sheila E.’s The Glamorous Life, and, of course Nothing Compares 2 U.
According to a press release, the tracks were gathered from Prince’s vault full of unreleased music.
Originals is due out June 21 through Warner Bros. Records and will be available in all formats.
