Prince Philip is very much alive, despite Twitter rumours

Claims stating that Prince Philip had died emerged on Twitter on Friday, but as usual it turned out not to be true.

Rumours spread quickly due to the fact so many publications started speculating about what would happen when the 97-year-old does pass away.

Various royal correspondents have put the rumours to bed on Twitter, with some insisting the Palace had confirmed that the rumours were in fact, just rumours.

Furthermore, the Queen has started her summer holiday in Balmoral without her husband – and not in her castle.

Recently the Queen and Prince Philip missed the christening of their grandson Prince Louis.

Meanwhile, Prince George will turn five years old this Sunday.

And the public can catch a glimpse of the Prince of Wales’ home, as he relocates some of his most treasured possessions to Buckingham Palace, for an exhibition to celebrate his 70th birthday.

More than 100 pieces including private paintings and personal photographs to keepsakes, ornaments and furnishings have been chosen by Prince Charles for the Prince and Patron exhibition.

Pictures include a special image from Prince George’s christening and there is another of Charles holding his first grandchild. A photograph of Prince Harry from his time in the Army also features, along with a photo of his daughter-in-law, the Duchess of Sussex.

There is no accompanying narrative, instead visitors will listen to an audio commentary from the prince himself.

Another highlight of the exhibition is a felt hooded cloak, once belonging to the French leader Napoleon Bonaparte. It’s said to be taken from his carriage following the Battle of Waterloo.

As the Queen has already gone to Balmoral, she will not be able to view her son’s exhibition. Other members of the Royal Family are expected to join the Queen on holiday.
