A record 222 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded by the Department of Health in Northern Ireland.

The total number of people confirmed positive since the pandemic began is now over 9,000. Almost 1000 cases have been reported in the last seven days.
No further deaths have occurred within the past 24 hours. The death toll remains at 575.
There are currently 21 patients being cared for in Northern Ireland’s hospitals. Four of those are in intensive care.
A total of 27 care homes are currently affected by the coronavirus.
During the most recent week, we estimate there were around 6,000 new #COVID19 infections per day in England, not including those living in institutional settings.
