A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery following an incident at a shop on Balmoral Link in south Belfast around 7pm on Tuesday evening (November 27).
He is also accused of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of a Class B controlled drug.
The teenager has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Sergeant McCallum is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who has any information who can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference 1101 of 27/11/18.
