The owner of the dog which was stolen, then chained to a concrete block and thrown in the canal in Coalisland is appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
Snowy belongs to Sinead Duffy and the family has had him for seven years. He was taken from the back garden of her Coalisland home.
He is now back home, safe and well following his horrific ordeal.
“We are appealing for anyone that has any information to please come forward – this is an attack on our dog and an attack on our family! We are deeply devastated that this has happened to him,” she said.
And she has expressed her thanks to those who saved Snowy’s life.
“We would like to thank the people who saved him very much, and we are blessed that he is home safe and well. We as a family are asking anyone that has any information please please come forward as this is the most obscene act of cruelty to an innocent pet,” she added.
