School transfer tests have been cancelled in Northern Ireland with the first test having been scheduled for this week.
The news comes amid a rapid rise in coronavirus cases.
And schools could close until the half-term break in February as part of efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Some grammar schools have already demonstrated how they would admit students if the tests were cancelled.
