Two men aged 30 and 24 have been arrested following two alleged creeper style burglaries in north Belfast.
Police say they are investigating a possible link between two reported incidents on Monday, September 7 and Saturday, September 12.
At around 6am on Monday 7 September, it was reported that entry was gained to a house in the Merryfield Drive area. Money, a Samsung laptop, an iPad and car keys for a grey Honda Jazz car were taken during the incident. The car was later found locked at the Henderson Avenue area of north Belfast.
And in the second incident which happened sometime between 8:20pm and 9:30pm on Saturday 12 September, it was reported that entry was gained to a property in the Upper Cavehill Road area. A silver VW Eos was stolen. The vehicle was later found at Silverstream Park in north Belfast. Two men were seen by police leaving the vehicle and were arrested at the scene in relation to the incident.
Sergeant Rice said at this stage, police are investigating a link between both incident.
The two men were arrested on suspicion of two counts of burglary, two counts of aggravated taking and driving away, disqualified driving and no insurance. Both men are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
