US President Joe Biden will arrive in Belfast to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement on Tuesday evening.
The President said he is looking forward to the visit.
He will meet with Stormont’s main political parties and give an address at Ulster University’s new campus in the city.
The signing of the Good Friday agreement signalled the end of the Troubles.
“25 years ago, Northern Ireland’s leaders chose peace. The Belfast/Good Friday Agreement ended decades of violence and brought stability. I look forward to marking the anniversary in Belfast, underscoring the U.S. commitment to preserving peace and encouraging prosperity,” he wrote on Twitter.
Motorists can expect some disruption in the city centre and around Belfast International Airport during the Presidential visit on Tuesday evening.
