Woman and boy escape injury in suspected petrol bomb attack in Carrickfergus

A woman and a boy have escaped injury in a suspected petrol bomb attack on a property in Carrickfergus.

Damage was caused to a window and to the front of the property in Schomberg Court in the incident which happened around 9pm.

Police and firefighters from NIFRS attended the scene.

Detective Constable Douglas said police believe this was a petrol bomb attack and they are working to establish a motive for this ‘reckless’ act.
