A woman has been found injured in a river in Falls Park, Belfast.
She was discovered yesterday (Wednesday, 15 July) just after 6:30pm.
Sergeant Begley said police received a report that a woman had been discovered injured in a river.
The woman was taken to hospital, where she remains.
Police are keen to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for information.
“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances of how the woman sustained her injuries and police in Woodbourne would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything in the area to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1653 15/07/20,” he added.
