A woman in her 60s has died in house fire in Holywood, County Down.
Emergency services were called to Ballymenoch Road in the town just before 4:30pm on Friday.
Appliances from Holywood and Knock Fire Stations attended the incident. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly brought the fire under control, however the woman lost her life in the incident.
A spokesperson for the NIFRS said the thoughts and sympathies of all those in Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service are with the family and friends of the deceased.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
