Two women were assaulted and cash stolen from a flat in south Belfast by three intruders, one of whom used a stun gun on one of the occupants.
The men forced their way into the property at Ashley Avenue at around 11.30pm last night.
The intruders assaulted two women, aged 38 and 40, who were inside the property. A stun gun was used on one of the victims, and both were tied up. The men ransacked the property and fled with a sum of cash.
Detectives are investigating the aggravated burglary and are appealing for witnesses.
Detective Sergeant Eric Fairfield added: “We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information regarding this crime to get in touch. Please call 101, quoting reference 1989 11/12/19.”
