Three men have been arrested following a collision which occurred on the M2 northbound carriageway this morning (Thursday 3 September).
The incident was reported to have happened just after midnight and involved a white Ford Fiesta.
Police say three men allegedly made off from the car before being apprehended by police a short time later.
The men were taken to hospital for treatment after being injured. All were later discharged.
The three men arrested have since been released. Two of the men, aged 21 and 28, were released unconditionally whilst a 21 year old man was released on bail pending further enquiries.
Sergeant Doyle added: “Our enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dash-cam footage available, to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 27 03/09/20.”
