A woman from Armagh has fallen victim to a holiday online booking scam.
When booking holidays online, people are reminded always to use reputable travel agents.
According to Scanwise NI, the woman booked a holiday to Spain through a website called PerfectHolidaySpain.
She paid £1,350 thinking she would go abroad and stay in an apartment for a week.
However, closer to the time of her holiday, the woman tried contacting the company to arrange for the collection of keys.
However, the website had disappeared and no one responded to her.
“When booking holidays online always use reputable websites and travel agents, and do a few checks with review websites to ensure no one else has fallen foul before and it’s all above board,” said Scamwise NI.
