Around £5,000 worth of cannabis was found in the boot of a car which was stopped by police in Eden near Carrickfergus yesterday afternoon (Monday).
Two people were arrested and have been released on bail while police carry out further enquiries.
With the help from officers from Larne and Antrim, police carried out several follow up searches, locating another smaller quantity of drugs.
“Some of you will no doubt want to debate cannabis and it being illegal etc. At the end of the day, we do not make the laws and if you want the laws to change, then take it up with your elected representatives.
“The sale and distribution of illegal drugs is not properly controlled and is funding the pockets of criminals and allowing them to continue their criminal lifestyles,” said a police spokesperson.
