Police are warning householders to be wary of cold callers.
It comes as a resident in the Greystone area of Antrim was offered the opportunity of work to be carried out on their garden on Wednesday (August 22).
Having agreed and paid, the work was started but the two men involved left after an hour without finishing the work and failed to return.
Police say if anyone has any information as to who these two men may be please contact them in Antrim on 101, or if you prefer use the Crimestoppers service on 0800 555 111.
“The moral of the story is do not pay for any work until it is completed and completed to your full satisfaction,” said a police spokesperson.
