A sum of cash was stolen by men with knives in an armed robbery at a take-away on the Ballysillan Road at 10.20pm on Tuesday night (May 2).
Police say two men armed with knives entered the shop with their faces covered. The pair threatened staff and demanded cash from the till.
A sum of money was taken and the two men then made off from the scene.
Two 19-year-old men were arrested from the Sunningdale Gardens area on suspicion of a number of offences including robbery, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and assault on police.
Inspector Adams said: “Our enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time the incident took place or who may have captured mobile or CCTV footage that can assist us to contact 101 quoting reference number 2352 02/05/23.”
