Dungannon drugs mule Michaella McCollum has revealed she has been working on a ‘tell all’ book that will be released in the spring.
That’s according to a recent post on Instagram.
McCollum was convicted, alongside Scottish accomplice Melissa Reid, of smuggling £1.5m worth of cocaine through Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, Peru in 2013.
Both women, who were 20 at the time, were sentenced to six years and eight months in prison.
McCollum was released from prison in 2016.
Posting on Instagram, the 24-year-old said: “So yeah I have been working on my book, for over a year actually.
“Just finishing the edits now so Spring next year it will be on the shelves. Will release official date soon.
“I’m beyond excited for yous (sic) to read it, you’re (sic) minds will be blown away for sure as this is real life. Who else is ready for my longtime coming book?”
She used various hashtags, giving an indication of the nature of the book including #peru, #Ibiza, #journey #story and #life, suggesting the book could be an expose about her time in prison.
