A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of asking two young children to perform a lewd act on him in a playpark in Antrim.
The incident happened on Saturday night around 7:15pm at Bush Road.
Police say they are investigating this suspicious approach.
The man is believed to be around 5’8” tall, with short dark hair. He was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a black jumper.
There was no physical contact between the man and the children. The girl and boy, both aged eight, ran back to the adult who was with them at the time.
Police say the man was seen walking away from the area in the direction of the Round Tower. He may also have been carrying a dark backpack.
A 25-year-old man was arrested a few hours later on suspicion of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity. He is currently in custody, helping police with their enquiries.
