Children in Lurgan have been caught on camera climbing onto the roof of the vacant Lidl store on Castle Lane in the town.
The images which were sent to police, have prompted them to issue a warning to parents yet again. They are keen to point out that these reckless acts can lead to instant death.
“It is somewhat frustrating that the same week we’ve TWICE warned parents and children about their behaviour in this district that we’re sent these photos,” said a spokesperson.

And the police have some hard hitting words of reality for parents.
“If you don’t see the issue here, do a quick Google search. In fact you can copy and paste this for ease: Child dies after falling from roof.

“If you’re happy with the idea of your child’s skull hitting the concrete 10 meters below and haven’t thought about the consequences thereafter, think about what an egg yoke does when you crack the shell. No amount of quick response from ourselves or our NIAS colleagues will fix that,” said the spokesperson.
“If you recognise your kids in these pictures, it’s time to talk to them, before it’s only photos you have.”
