An Amber warning for high winds in currently place.
Drivers are asked to be vigilant amid the high winds and heavy rain which are due to last for a good part of the day.
It’s not all bad news as the rain will push east, eventually clearing to leave a mainly dry and fine day.
Belfast City Council will be closing all of its parks, playing fields and the zoo today due to the amber warning.
The parks are expected to reopen tomorrow (Thursday).
