Sectarian graffiti sprayed on house and school intercom in Martinstown

Sectarian graffiti has been sprayed on the gable wall of a house and on the intercom of a primary school in Martinstown, Co Antrim.

The first incident happened at Lisnamanagh Park.


Inspector Bradley said received reports at around 1:20pm that sectarian graffiti had been sprayed on the house on Friday (December 28).

“Police received further reports of sectarian graffiti being sprayed on a wall in the Cushendall Road area and paint being sprayed on the intercom of a primary school in the Lisnamanny Road area of Martinstown,” said Inspector Bradley.

Police would like anyone with information to come forward.

“We are appealing to anyone with any information about these incidents to contact police in Ballymena on 101, quoting reference number 605 28/12/18.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime,” added Inspector Bradley.
