A dog has reportedly been stabbed six times, suffering a suspected punctured lung in a sickening attack believed to be carried out in the vicinity of Cavehill Country Park.
Bear was found at the park on Easter Sunday at around 1pm and taken to Carrickfergus dog pound. His owner collected him and rushed him to the veterinary surgery where he underwent emergency surgery.
His owner is appealing for anyone with information to come forward. The pictures show the extent of Bear’s wounds.
His owner Ashley believes he was tortured and he remains in pain.
