Damage was caused to fuel pumps and a vending machine at the new petrol station on Rosetta Road in east Belfast.
It happened in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
Sergeant McHenry says he is appealing to anyone who was in the area around this time and saw any suspicious activity, or anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact police on the non emergency number 101.
